Diagnostic Analysis (Laboratory Services)

Why do I need labs?

Our treatment philosophy is centered upon true relief from symptoms; not masking them. There are many underlying conditions that can contribute to or cause psychiatric symptoms. Our providers will rule out commonly missed diagnoses such as vitamin and mineral deficiencies or imbalances, food allergies/intolerances and metabolic conditions such as hypothyroidism before prescribing psychotropic medications.

In-depth diagnostic assessment often requires blood work to assess what is taking place inside the body. Our wide network of collection sites ensures that no matter where you are, your lab work can be done at a site that is convenient and cost-effective for you.

Schedule online. It's easy, fast and secure.

What does analysis include?

Our holistic approach is foundational to our practice and is instrumental in achieving long-term, sustainable improvement in the lives of our patients.

During your initial evaluation, your provider will ask in depth questions relating to your physical and mental health history, lifestyle and spiritual practices or beliefs. Based upon your evaluation, your provider may order blood work for you that can be completed at any LabCorp location that is convenient for you.

1 / Medical Conditions

There are many medical conditions that can mimic or cause psychiatric symptoms such as low mood, anxiety and poor sleep. Utilizing a comprehensive lab panel (blood work), our providers will rule out conditions such as:
  • Hypothyroidism

  • Metabolic Dysfunction

  • Infection

  • Autoimmune Disorders

2 / Allergies & Intolerances
Chronic exposure to allergens can trigger a number of seemingly unrelated symptoms, including psychiatric conditions. Our diagnostic panel includes allergy and intolerance screening using a simple blood test. Common allergens that trigger psychiatric symptoms include:
  • Molds

  • Wheat (Gluten)

  • Dairy

  • Soy

  • Corn

3 / Vitamin & Mineral Imbalances
Most of us know that we should be taking a daily multivitamin, but many of us don't realize how nutrient deficient we really are. Not only can deficiences trigger symptoms, but elevations in certain minerals can also manifest as psychiatric symptoms. Our testing monitors levels of common triggers for mood symptoms including:
  • Vitamin D

  • Copper

  • Zinc

  • Magnesium

  • Iron

Genetic Testing

We are proud to have partnered with Genesight, one of the industry leaders in the field of genetic testing. Utilizing the Genesight genetic analysis, our providers can identify which psychotropic medications are most compatible with your body.

Keeping in line with our foundational belief that care should always be convenient, the Genesight test kit can be delivered straight to your door. Once you receive the kit, simply swab the inside of your cheeks using the materials provided, package them in the pre-paid FedEx envelope, and drop it off at a FedEx collection site. Your provider will receive your analysis results in less than one week.

GeneSight testing is covered by most insurance plans.
